Carla Nager was born and raised in Long Beach, Long Island where everyone she knows is 2 degrees of separation from Billy Crystal. She has been performing comedy and improv for over 3 decades at New York establishments such as The Comic Strip Live, The Peoples Improv Theater and Magnet Theater among others. In 2012, her autobiographical show, "The Carla Show: This is What I Do," combined original music, classic sketches, baton twirling, and hip hop and she got “jiggy with it” to sold-out houses every night.

Carla was also an invited musical guest in Ali Farahnakian’s (Owner, Peoples Improv Theater) Labor Day Show, and guest improviser in Megan Gray’s (Magnet Artistic Director) We Might Just Kiss.

Theatrically, she received critical praise for her performance as Miss Sasslebaum in the award-winning "Someone to Belong To," an original musical featured in the FringeNYC Festival.

Carla is currently streaming on Amazon Prime in "The Luckiest Guys on the Lower East Side." She also appeared as Anna, in the pilot "From Adam," a finalist in the New York Television Festival. She's also worked alongside Peter Mele (The Sopranos) as a recurring principal role in the web series, "Bocce Ballers," playing the Staten Island matriarch, Patritzia Bianchi. You may also have seen her in videos on Mashable and Univision's LaFlama.

With a B.S. in Music Ed from Duquesne University, Carla teaches piano and secondary instruments in her spare time throughout the tri-state area and has been a freelance columnist and food editor. Her proudest accomplishment is her family and she apologizes every time they become fodder for her comedy.
